Description:

The practical uptake and detection of ultrasound is oriented theoretical and practical learning of ultrasound imaging technology and the necessary considerations to keep in mind during the inspection mechanical, electrical and leak testing.

Goals:

The objective of this course is to train the maintenance technician for the proper selection of technology and sensors to use proper uptake oara ultrasound. At the end of the training the technician has to be able to select the sensor and the appropriate measure for good measure, and diagnose the fault detected.

• Fundamentals of sound and ultrasound
• Ultrasonic types and applications. Methods of measuring and recording.
• Practical considerations. Types of sensors. Choosing the appropriate sensor.
• Measure static vs. dynamic measurement. Diagnostic tools.
• Mechanical Inspection: by condition monitoring, lubrication control.
• Leak Detection: Leak in pipes, leaking steam traps, leak testing.
• Electrical Inspection: Troubleshooting electrical arc, corona and Tracking.
• Practical guide and historical examples.
